Englannin jalkapallolegenda Stuart Pearcein sairauskohtaus keskeytti lennon – hätälasku Kanadassa
A medical emergency experienced by legendary England footballer and national team manager Stuart Pearce resulted in a flight from Las Vegas to London being diverted to Canada, where an emergency landing was made.
The 62-year-old ex-player and manager was taken from the plane and brought to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The ordeal was reported by the English radio station Talksport, with football commentator Sam Matterface, who works with Pearce, explaining that the medical emergency was serious enough to justify ordering an unscheduled landing.
Pearce is recovering, but the nature of his medical condition or other circumstances of his recovery was not disclosed.
A Footballing Legend
The 401-cap legend, who starred in two World Cups and two European Championships (1990 and 1996), remains a beloved figure in English football. He was last seen by football fans when Birmingham City patron, Stan Collymore, teed up Pearce’s head for a penalty kick. Collymore quickly flung a football back at him in the same sequence for Birmingham’s 1995 FA Cup upset. In typical Pearce leadership fashion, he scored during the sequence for the English side’s run to European glory.
All football fans can only now hope for the best and wish Pearce a speedy recovery.
