Sir Jim Ratcliffe ja Manchester Unitedin pelaajahankinnat – Muutoksen tuulet Vanhalla Traffordilla
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s comments about Manchester United’s player acquisitions inspire quite a lot of debate and discussion about the club’s future. The confidence with which he expresses his views—that the club needs to change and develop its player procurement systems in order to return to the top—makes quite an impact. And it certainly gets people thinking and talking.
In a way, I sort of feel bad for Ratcliffe. His open criticism means that a lot of what he’s saying gets taken as gospel. But he’s just a guy who’s trying to get to grips with a massive football club and get things sorted out, and it sounds like he’s trying to do it on a basis more of common sense than of footballing expertise.
I also think it would be doing the Manchester United fanbase a disservice to not critically engage with the things Ratcliffe says. After all, he’s the guy who’s in charge now. If he thinks something’s up in the player acquisition department, that’s a pretty serious matter for the club.
